L'essential Gilding Wax will give you the opportunity to add true to life metallic gilding options to whatever you choose to use it on.
The colours are as close to the real metal colour as possible.
It is simple to use, apply an amount to your surface, smooth is on with your fingers. Allow it to sit for an hour or so to harden and buff with a soft cloth.
You can apply more coats as desired.
Remember a little bit goes a long way.
L'essential Gilding Powder can be applied to any surface that has some "tack". Apply over your paint before it completely dries, or glazed surfaces.
It can be applied over beeswax wax polish, or gilding wax to intensify the colour further.
It can also be mixed into any of the sealers, or glazes to give a metallic feel.
It is pure concentrated pigment, not mica. The powder particles are actually pigment coated metal, so very different to using a mica or other colourant.
L'essential Aging Dust can be applied in much the same way as Guilding powder, with a soft brush like a 'Blush" brush would be optimal. It will give a feeling and look of depth and also time.
Just another way to antique, it also sits fantastically over our dark wax.
You can use it on top of any finish, but require some tack to hold it. Sprinkle or brush on to your tacky surface, leave it to dry and blow the excess away or dust it off.
The Natural coloured aging dust can also be used as a polishing compound with hemp oil to revive tired french polished tops. To remove fine scratches simply dampen a cloth with hemp infusion oil or liquid wax, or apply the oil directly on the affected surface, sprinkle some aging dust on top of the oil and in a circular motion buff the scratch or mark on the substrate. This will act as a cut and polish. You can then complete the process by hemp oiling the whole surface. This process will work on small scratches, and it may need to be repeated to remove the blemishes.
